Not the kind drowned in coke and forgotten by last drinks. This is rum worth paying attention to. Rich, funky, layered, and with a lot more going on than the bottle at Pops would have you believe.
Join us at Bar Something for an afternoon exploring a tight lineup of proper rum. Local drops alongside international bottles, each one earning its spot for the story it tells and the way it drinks. We'll move through different styles, from clean and grassy to dark and molasses-heavy, funky and funeral home strange, with a few surprises along the way.
Expect a seated, guided tasting with time to sip properly, ask questions and get to know what is actually in the glass (spoiler: it's rarely just "rum"). Something salty on the table to keep you honest between pours, and the bar will be there if the afternoon carries on, which, if we're honest, it probably will.
No wrong answers, no pirate jokes required. Just good rum, good company and a slower look at a spirit that's spent too long being someone's camp chair company.
Limited seats, as always.
